It’s okay, at least I can admit when I have a real problem. I’ve noticed whenever Gordon Ramsey goes into a kitchen he’ll complain that the head chefs have too many different pieces of serving ware, too many platters and too many different sized plates. This is something that I’m definitely 100% guilty of:

A: Heart Olive Oil Dish by Coasting Along, at NotOnTheHighStreet.com, £20.00 (GBP)
B: Malteser (or Olive) Solitaire Dish by Bob by Post, at NotOnTheHighStreet.com, £28.50 (GBP)
C: Impression Crockery (Soup Bowl & Spoon) by Benjamin Hubert at Rockett St. George, £29.95 (GBP)
D: Sandwich Melamine Plates by Matijs Korpershoek at Dutch by Design, £15.00 (GBP) ea.
A friend of my sister’s and mine, Julz, is about to embark on a truly epic holiday to Peru where she will be doing volunteer work and generally expanding her horizons. I’m hoping she meets a hot guy called Diego who introduces her to a world of a jet-setting, exotic food and expensive jewellery. Anyway, in honour of her impending departure, here are some finds with a South American flavour:

A: Cabos Bag from Adili, £120.00 (GBP)
B: Sterling Folk Art Floral Pendant from Peruvian Connection, £120.00 (GBP)
C: Handwoven Embroidered Flower Belt from Peruvian Connection, £29.00 (GBP)
D: Lengua Skirt from La Nativa, £34.99 (GBP) on sale
Yes, I’ll admit, these knives first caught my eye simply because they’re different to every other plain ol’ cheese knife or cake cutter. But as it turns out the cut-out fonts are designed to aid with the slicing process, preventing crumbling and squishing - nifty!

A: ‘Cheese’ Knife at Rockett St. George, £12.95 (GBP)
B: ‘Cake’ Knife at Rockett St. George, £14.95 (GBP)

I fell in love with the ‘Oval Ceramic Table Lamp‘ the other day when I was browsing through the Home Contrast collection. Then I saw the ‘Orange Slices Table Lamp‘ and my lamp-loving fate was sealed. I love how these lamps glow with life - I can picture mine illuminating a section of bookshelf or throwing pretty patterns on my bedroom wall.
Is it just me or are the high-street fashion chains trying to get us to eat more tasty watermelon by using subliminal colour-messages? This predominance of watermelon pink simply can’t be a coincidence:

A: Lipstick Pink Grossgrain Cami by Miss Selfridge, £25.00 (GBP)
B: Coral Gingham Rushed Jacket by New Look, £22.00 (GBP)
C: Bright Pink Plain Tiered Mini Skirt by TopShop, £28.00 (GBP)
D: Coral Jersey Bandeau Dress by TopShop, £38.00 (GBP)
E: Make Clutch Bag by Dune Shoes, £45.00 (GBP)
F: Shock Pink Havianas Flip-Flops from Office, £19.99 (GBP)
G: Hot Pink Satin Peep Toe Platform Shoes by Barratts, £35.00 (GBP)
G: Bright Pink Cutwork Printed Dress by River Island, £26.99 (GBP)
There seem to be flowers everywhere at the moment, particularly in costume jewellery. There’s something very ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ about wearing a flower or three around your neck. Here are some of my favourite pretty petals:

A: Blossom Necklace by Oliver Bonas, £16.50 (GBP)
B: Leather Flower Corsage Necklace by Heidi Sturgess at Stella 5, £29.00 (GBP)
C: Wine Blossom Necklace by Luxedeluxe at Etsy.com, $39.00 (USD)
D: Sterling Silver Rose Pendant by Zaira at Etsy.com, $60.00 (USD)
