I’m a firm believer in the rule that before you leave the house you should always take off one item of jewellery you’ve added to your outfit to avoid looking over-accessorised. Sounds silly but it’s a good rule of thumb. Another trick is to stick with simple pieces, like fine chains with pendants – you can wear them with just about anything in any situation, and if you want to go for a more accessorized look you can layer, layer and layer again:
